Just as a characteristic of a disciple is that they engage in serving, so also a characteristic of a congregation that is following Jesus is that it engages corporately as a congregation. On this page you will find the primary mission and outreach emphases of our congregation as a whole.
Our church’s largest ministry is our School and Child Development Center. We believe that providing quality and affordable Christian education is one of the greatest ways we can make an impact on others in our community for the Kingdom of God. We find great purpose in providing students with education within the context of a Christian worldview.
Our congregation is affiliated with The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. Every quarter we send a significant contribution to the Southern District of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod as a mission offering to partner with other congregations in The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod in carrying out the Great Commission together.
In 2022, Grace Lutheran selected Child Beyond International as a partner in mission. Based in Guatemala City, Child Beyond International operates an orphanage for children (infants – 9 years old) and carries out a home building ministry to help those who are experiencing a housing crisis. Child Beyond International is hoping to expand their orphanage by adding family homes and a home for orphaned teens. We thank God for this opportunity to engage with Child Beyond International.
We recognize that God has positioned us in such a way that now is the time for developing long-term mission partnerships with local and international ministries that are making a significant impact in the Kingdom of God in the places where God has deployed them. We are exploring more opportunities now, and look forward to formalizing those partnerships in the Gospel soon.
